Accounting built for corporate housing, on a real general ledger.
Rent billed in advance, deposits held, owners paid and vendors 1099'd: all of it in books a controller can close.
In short
Staylio includes full accounting for corporate housing operators: a general ledger with a chart of accounts and GL account mapping, journal entries and batch posting, a bank register, bank reconciliation and period close, deferred revenue and revenue recognition, a trial balance and balance sheet, profit and loss by unit, by client and by period, and sales and lodging tax reporting by jurisdiction.
01
The ledger underneath everything
Invoices, payments, vendor bills, deposits and refunds post to the general ledger through your account mapping. Journal entries handle the rest, posted one at a time or in batches.

02

FAQ
Accounting & reporting: questions
Is Staylio's accounting a full general ledger?
Yes. It has a chart of accounts, journal entries, a trial balance, a balance sheet, bank reconciliation and period close, not just a list of invoices.
How is rent billed in advance handled?
Rent billed before the period it covers goes to deferred revenue and is recognized when it is earned. The deferred revenue rollforward and the revenue recognition schedule show both sides.
Can Staylio handle lodging and sales taxes?
Yes. Tax jurisdictions, tax profiles and tax types are set up once and applied to bookings, and the sales tax report totals what you collected. Rules vary by place; read our guide to the 30-day rule.
Can we export our data?
Yes. Data export is built in, and every change is recorded in the audit log.
