In short

Staylio automates billing for corporate housing: recurring and month-to-month invoices with proration for partial periods, pre-billing, batch invoicing and batch import, autopay by card or ACH through your payment gateway, dunning for overdue accounts, credit memos, disputes, write-offs and statements. Corporate clients see and pay their invoices in their own portal, and every invoice posts to the general ledger.

01

### Invoices that create themselves

Recurring billing follows each booking's rate, billing frequency and proration rule. An invoice creation queue shows what is about to go out, and pre-billing handles rent billed in advance.

- Recurring and month-to-month billing
- Proration for partial periods
- Pre-billing and the invoice creation queue
- Batch invoicing and batch import

02

### Money in, on time

Residents and clients pay by card or ACH, or enroll in autopay. Auto-charge collects on schedule, and dunning follows up on overdue invoices so your team does not have to.

- Payment gateway with card and ACH
- Autopay enrollment and auto-charge
- Dunning for overdue accounts
- Cash receipts and card and ACH reports

03

### The untidy parts, handled

Credits, disputes and write-offs have their own place, so adjustments are recorded properly instead of being edited away. Statements and AR aging show exactly who owes what.

- Credit memos
- Disputes
- Write-offs
- Statements and AR aging

FAQ

## Billing & invoicing: questions

**Can we bill the company instead of the resident?**

Yes. Invoices can go to the corporate client, the resident or both, and clients see and pay their invoices in the corporate portal.

**How are partial months handled?**

Each booking follows its proration rule: prorate the partial period, charge it in full, or skip it. See the math in our [guide to prorating rent](https://staylio.co/blog/how-to-prorate-rent/).

**Which payment methods are supported?**

Cards and ACH bank payments through your payment gateway, with saved payment methods and autopay.

**Do invoices post to the books automatically?**

Yes. Billing and the general ledger are the same system, so invoices and payments post to the accounts you map them to.
